3.3.5 Synchronization of User Data

User data (e.g. aircrafts, checklists, flightplans, logbooks, panel setup) synchronization can be used to synchronize between different devices or for backup purposes.
For backup purposes it makes sense to export the corresponding data to a file which can be copied manually afterwards.
For synchronization purposes it makes sense to upload the data to the Horizon cloud. Every device which uses the same account can simply download and use previously uploaded data.
When downloading from the Horizon cloud or importing from a file there may be data already existing in the current Horizon installation. You can choose to automatically merge remote data with local data to assure that no locally available data is lost. However in many cases it makes sense to delete the locally available data and replace it by the remote data (e.g. if the locally available data is outdated and should be removed).
